How to file a Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice if you believe content on travel.to infringes your copyright, and how to counter-notice if your content was removed in error.

1 · Filing a notice

Send a written notice to hello@travel.to with "DMCA NOTICE" in the subject. The notice must include all of the following or we can't act on it:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing and the URL on travel.to where it can be found.
  • Your contact information (email and physical address).
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

2 · What we do with valid notices

If the notice is valid and complete, we remove or disable access to the disputed material and notify the user who posted it (if applicable). We may forward your notice to that user.

3 · Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you can file a counter-notice. Send it to hello@travel.to with "DMCA COUNTER-NOTICE" in the subject. It must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your contact information.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which you reside.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files an action seeking a court order.

4 · Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
